i edited the game by copy pasting a bunch of goblin code in the raws from this treat http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=70190.0

the funny thing is though, even though i turned the whole thing into spagethi i dont think it contains any mention of caravans. now that i started a new pocket world the world gen gave my an freaking ALLIENCE with the goblins! and they turned up at the same time as the elves, whent to the save trade depot and game me the option to choose who to trade with! i know this sounds rather dull for new players, think about what this means! somewhere in the hardcode of the game toady expected multiple caravans to visit you at the same time dispite caravans being set apart by seasons, maybe other factions will be able to make caravans eventualy as well like kobolds or beastman?

For reference, the goblins showed up to trade because their ACTIVE_SEASON is every season.

I agree it is an interesting feature.  I wonder if it will survive the Premium update.  Else, it might be a good reason to fix the bugs when multiple depots exist.

ah ok, didnt see that tag but yea that explains. makes me wonder too; beastman caravans, would they get the proffesion of pack animal? :P
