Are you using the exact same world generation settings?

It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.

perhaps your seed is from a previous update, and no longer generates the same way.

Your post showed the info "[TITLE:LARGE REGION TEST12]". All of your geographic formation settings in the "LARGE REGION TEST 12" data set needs to be the same as when you created the first world.

That custom world info is stored in the data\init\world_gen.txt file, so...

1) If you have an backup of the world_gen.txt file from when you first created the world, you can import that using copy and paste (modify the TITLE value so it is unique).

2) When you created the first version of the world, if you used 'p' to export the world gen info before clicking to accept the world, there will be a set of files in your df folder and the one named similar to "regionNN_world_gen_param.txt" will have all the world gen data you need, and the contents of this file can be copied into the world_gen.txt (modify the TITLE value so it is unique).

But it won't happen to me, my bit doesn't count etc etc... Just saying, after my recent experiences I couldn't trust the public if I wanted to. People got their risk assessment neurons rotten and replaced with game theory. Folks walk around like fat turkeys taunting the world to slaughter them.

3) If you still have the original world, you can load it in Legends mode and press "p" to export the worldgen parameters (exactly as above). If you have an active fortress, you can make a copy of the world and abandon/retire it.
