"Sluggish" attitude of adventurers.

Hello, fellow Watchers! I have searched the relevant boards without luck and scoured Google far and wide, without avail. At last, I have come to you.
I have noticed that in conversation with certain of my adventurers, in the "Attitude toward you" box, the word "Sluggish" is shown in white text. What does this mean? I have never been able to remove it, or reproduce it in an adventurer that began without it. Any tips or related information welcome.

I guess this is not an attitude per se but rather an emotional state in the other person.  For comparison, people can be "confident" if you flatter them.
