How do I trust someone in gmail?
« on: December 30, 2022, 10:44:51 pm »

I got a mail inviting me to the new year's drink for my volunteer workplace.
It ended up in my spam folder of gmail.

I have never before gotten a mail that is actually wanted in my spam box.
I want to tell gmail 'this email adress is trusted', but I can't find any option to do so.

How do I 'trust' an email adress in gmail?

There should be a "not spam" option when you transfer it from your spam folder to your inbox.

Adding them to your contacts is another option.

There is something to be said about, if the stakes are as high, maybe reconsider your certitudes. One has to be aggressively allistic to feel entitled to be able to trust. But it won't happen to me, my bit doesn't count etc etc... Just saying, after my recent experiences I couldn't trust the public if I wanted to. People got their risk assessment neurons rotten and replaced with game theory. Folks walk around like fat turkeys taunting the world to slaughter them.

Another way is to make a filter in Settings with the option "Never send it to Spam". I use filters to automatically add labels and use that option as a bonus.

Finally managed it. I could not find any option to move it from spam to primary inbox. Clicked all the settings I could find, no cigar.

Turns out, you need to hold the mouse button and drag the mail from one inbox to the other.

When you select an email in Spam - by clicking the box next to it so there is a check mark there - there will be a "Not spam" button at the top, clicking that moves it to Inbox.
