DF Adventure mode - screen explained
« on: November 04, 2021, 01:44:18 am »

Hi,
Is there any manual about what's on the screen? Example: There are 2 windows 1 and 2 on the top-right screen corner. What's that?

There's an in-game quickguide to Adventure mode, but it is plaintext, so it might be difficult to make sense of.

The "windows" you see are glimpses into the Z-height above and below your adventurer.  They only appear when there is something visible above/below, and they glow yellow if a creature becomes visible.

Subject to ADVENTURER_Z_VIEWS setting in d_init.txt.
