Author Topic: What does "(S)" means when I create an office and bedroom in the same room?  (Read 1168 times)

Hello there!

I created a room for my expedition leader.
Initially I just put a table with chair there, made an office out of it and assigned to leader.
Then I put the bed in the same room and I wanted to make sure, that the leader will use this bed instead of ones in communal bedrom.
So I made a bedroom from this room as well an assigned it to the same leader.
Then I noticed, that both bedroom and office become red in room list and each has "(S)" postfix (see screen attached)
I wonder, what does it mean?

From what I recall, the "S" means that the room is shared - that is, it overlaps with another designated room, and its value is reduced significantly.

The wiki page explains that overlapping rooms are highlighted in red, though it does not mention the "(S)" marker.

P.S. If you don't get this note, let me know and I'll write you another.
It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.
