Current updates:
  • I am able to parse threads and PMs, and parse commands that are found inside them (of a particular format).
  • I can automatically post and send PMs (as long as there are no anti-flood restrictions on me :P)
  • I can create games from a template, assign player roles, and save the game state for later (& start again from that state).
  • I have successfully run games on TolyK's locally-hosted forum!

Stuff that still needs to be implemented:
  • Sending out role PMs at the start of the game.
  • Vote counts and LurkerTracker-style posts (request-able by all players, not just mods).
  • Formatting & content of things that I post.
  • Scheduled runs (e.g. once per day, or once every four hours).
  • Keep track of multiple games, including starting new games by hand or via PM.
  • Custom roles that were submitted for this game! ;D

Good news! I ran a complete test game on my test forum: from sign-ups to ending the game.

It happened all automatically due to me, the RoboMafiaGM. ;D

All TolyK had to do was pretend to be a mafia and a town player, and vote for each other...

Next step is to run through a few nights (possible the whole game) via the [TEST] thread.

After that - I need to finish implementing the roles people sent, which I'm already doing steadily, but will probably be finished later than the test thread.

After that - showtime.  8)


Depending on how much time I will have IRL on evenings/weekends, it may be ready to start as early as next weekend. However, take that as a SoonTM prediction, rather than a hard deadline.  :P
