Author Topic: World Rejections at "Importing Wildlife..." Stage (Adv. World Gen) (SOLVED)  (Read 808 times)

Hello all,

I've been messing around with Advanced World Generation options for a long time now. Basically all of my worlds are generated using custom parameters.
I'm fairly good at picking out the things that are causing rejections, but in this case I just have no clue.
Every time I generate my custom large world, it rejects on "Importing Wildlife..." and goes onto the next attempt.
I've used similar parameters on other worlds before with no issue, and I've messed around a bunch with these ones and can't seem to get the rejection to stop occurring. I would love to see what the rejection info box says about the issue, but it takes so long after the beginning of generation to get the rejection that it would probably have to be running for a year straight.

Has anyone had similar issues in the past, or does any one know what the cause of this is?

EDIT:
I have discovered that the problem was the "Minimum # of High Elevation Squares" parameter. No clue why it causes the issue, cause when I set the "Min. # of High Elevation Squares" parameter to 0 and instead just set "Min. Initial Mountain Square #" to 10,000, it stops rejecting the worlds at "Importing Wildlife..." despite the fact that the worlds created using these two parameter variations are functionally the same.

I've never had this issue, but suspect it may be caused by RAW modding. Did you do any?

Oh crap yeah I did, I changed the gait speeds of all of the snakes and snake men because I wanted to play as a snake but they can only slither at like .3 tiles per step. I’ll try putting them to normal and see if that fixes it. Thanks for the idea.

Ok I deleted all the raws and replaced them with vanilla ones and it’s still happening.
