When you close the bridge, it's all cut off from everything right? Just a full 7/7 with no upper or lower Z levels to go to closed off?

Yes, though I tried a simpler configuration that seems to work.

In my setup, the water never went up the ∩ to reach the depressurizer. In the simple setup, the water goes back up without a problem.

There are a pair of floor grates in the ∩ to prevent swimmers, so I'll have to check if that's part of the problem. Removing them afterward doesn't fix anything, and the water will flow through them after a recalculation.

Update: Looks like it's nothing whatsoever to do with the design.

Tunnel 1 works fine, while 2 and 3 don't. I can't find any difference in geology between them, though 1 is closer to the edge of the map.

The save uses DFHack 0.47.05-beta1. If you need a vanilla version, use the earlier save, but you'll have to dig tunnels yourself.
