What the hell I posted on this thread yesterday and it's gone, did Toady accidentally delete it when he got rid of the ad bot or something? I guess I'll retype it.

Hey look even the ad bot's getting in on the Christmas cheer.

We're probably going to do the same thing we do every year get together with close family friends and eat some food and open gifts.

That's as close as I can get to remembering what I put originally.

I saw it, and I concur that it didn't make much sense without the ad-post. I thought the post might have been neutered by executive edit and the account ROed, but if the chosen action was to purge the post (and account) completely then the two(?) posts almost entirely made with direct reference, even without direct quoting, were probably given the boot as a matter of policy.

So... What I'm doing for Christmas is acting as a moderator-by-proxy, it seems. Reliving the good old days (pre-forums, a BBS era)... The power!  The power!!![1] Mwuhahahaha!!!!!
