For about 1.5 - 2 years now, whenever I type a post on these forums, it does not recognise single <Return>.
If I want my text to jump to the next line, I need to add an extra line of blank space (by typing another <Return>).
The forum turns text that should look like this:
One sentence.
Two sentences
Three sentences

Into this:
One sentenceTwo sentencesThree sentences.

I have no idea how or why, it just suddenly started doing that about 1.5 years ago.

EDIT: it only does this for this forum.  It is not pc-specific, it started on my old laptop and persists on my new laptop.

Hmmm. I tested, and it's normal for me. Maybe your computer is cursed.

Any browser differences? Plugins?

Maybe it's not sending a proper newline or whatever the forum or javascript expect.

Nah, my add-ons and browser (Firefox) pre-date the issue as far as I am aware.

Bay12 uses SMF software and on the SMF site, this is a similar problem with no clear solution.

But there is high certainty that if it recurs on both old and new pc, the forum user account settings are involved.

Ok so go into your profile settings (Modify Profile > Look and Feel) and uncheck the "show WYSYWIG by default."

Turning that on for me resulted in the same error you have.

Unchecking makes it work "like it should."
