Player Characters:True name: Acter Nobody
Traits:
+Tinker: Nobody is skilled at making things, usually mechanical in nature.
+Precise: Nobody is rather good at precision, whether that means putting pieces together without error, shooting a bullet through the bullseye, or saying the words of an incantation without misplacing or mispronouncing a syllable.
-Emotionally Inept: Nobody is... rather bad at reading emotions from nonverbal cues. Why can't people just say what they're thinking?
Personality: Acter Nobody is overall rather friendly, mostly just wanting to help people. Put simply, he enjoys life, he enjoys making things, and he wants other people to enjoy life, too.
Unfortunately, his many pieces are not of one mind, and do not work purely in concert. They will argue with each other, and hold disagreeing perspectives on people - not just of a single shattered one, but also of the same individual. They may not all like each other.
Name: Greyscale/"Error"
Character Description: An essentially elven-looking person, Error is constantly dressed in an adventurer's outfit, equipped with rope, a fedora, at least three knives of varying design and purpose, a pistol, and his signature backpack - a hulking thing that, apparently, contains anything Error might need after he spends five minutes or so rifling through it.
Additionally, Error and everything he has on him is in greyscale. There are no colors to him and his equipment at all.
Error is a free spirit, wandering the System... well, no, that's not quite right. Error spends his days travelling toward the sunset, in pursuit of the end of the world, and glorying in the myriad things he finds along the way.
True name: Aing
Traits:
(+) Inventing: The ability to create stuff, especially in terms of technology.
(+) Perception: The ability to detect stuff and notice important minor details.
(-) Lazy: When this character is not in a crisis situation, they tend to slack off and not accomplish as much as they should.
Personality: Intuitive, calculating, and somewhat selfish. Having access to knowledge from other worlds, Aing seeks to use it to improve upon their skills so that they can raise their quality of life within all worlds.
Name: Ping
Character Description: At a glance, Ping is an ordinary member of a human-like species, with short blonde hair, pale skin and an androgynous appearance. This is only half of what Ping is however. The other half is a piece of malware that infected System Zero which had glitched out in a strange way; its original purpose has long since been forgotten.
Other: Ping is able to use a 'Malware Ability' to cause distortions in reality within System Zero. This can be used any amount of times, but overuse of it will alert the system's security system.
True name: Lys
Traits:
Titanium Affinity (A certain affinity for the element. Helps with finding it, building things with it, or conjuring it with magic.)
Friendship (Helps with making friends, and with assisting them.)
Unassertive (Prone to bending to authority. Can be easily intimidated or even mind-controlled.)
Personality: It is friendly and kind, though somewhat disorganized and chaotic in manner. Overall it just wants what's best for everybody, but won't hesitate to use force if it seems necessary. Likely to go for the long-shots. Likely to bow to pressure if pressed.
Name: Lizzy 0cc0
Character Description: She is an AI. And not in the sense that she's a digital being as is normal for the world, but rather in the sense that she's a constructed being running on a computer created within the System. After all, a perfectly simulated reality would be able to create its own simulation. She lives inside of a little grey wireframe box somewhere in Error's boundless backpack and you can't prove that she doesn't.
Other: Has only limited interaction with the material world, but can interact with nested systems.
True Name: Max
Traits:
Isolated, (-). Cannot exchange information, or skills or abilities between incarnations, and is unaware of alternate versions of himself.
Self-Contained, (-). Poor at manipulating external forces or energies, such as magic.
The Rock in the Stream. (+). Less affected by extrauniversal forces and creatures from other worlds. Can view them as local events/creatures/things instead.
Name: Max
Description: An ancient, mostly forgotten bit of code that has escaped various pruning routines and is currently set free as a loose function, capable of operating within other programs and substituting itself for things that exist.
Other: Max is not optimized and full of kludge and spaghetti code. While Max may imitate programs, creatures, etcetera, it cannot do so well. Everything done by Max is done just a little bit worse than if it was done by the original.
True name: Salem Monroe
Traits:
Heroic: Salem stands to protect the innocent, defend justice, etc etc. His heroic willpower gives him bonuses when he's doing something heroic.
Unbreakable Will: Across the multiverse, all Salems are a bit harder to kill than the locals simply due to his blanket refusal to die. Bonus to health or defense.
Poor Magic Talent: Something about Salem's existence just doesn't mesh well with all known and presumably unknown systems of magic power. Or God-powers. And occasionally their technological equivalents. Short version is while he is capable of using the local magic-equivalent, he does so at a penalty.
Personality: A kind and heroic man (multiversal existence?), Salem can usually be found on the front-lines fighting whatever threatens the good people of the multiverse (or keeping the peace when said good people arn't particularly threatened). He is lucky he's study as this often gets him into trouble, especially when combined with his lack of concern for his own well-being.
Name: Clicky
Character Description: A mouse arrow with a pair of wings that it uses to move around. Can speak and see despite the lack of eyes and mouths thanks to computerization meaning none of those things are actually necessary. Has only recently made contact with human civilization, currently awkward at using human technology in this form.
Other: Capable of flight
