That would be a question better asked in the DT thread. I know DT has a "roles" feature, but I don't know if that works in the way you want.

Well, it depends on what the question is. If the question is how to check something with DT then it's a DT question, but if the actual question is what traits to look for in prospective corpse haulers it's a general question (The general consensus seems to be that dorfs that are numbed enough to not care about anything anymore are good corpse hauler candidates, but I assume you'd want to broaden the search to dorfs you're likely to actually have available in a reasonably young fortress).

The normal forum talk about stress and corpse hauling refers to the dwarf thought "Doesn't really care about anything anymore" as being the best for corpse haulers. Take a quick look at this old forum and wiki info. This data will still be highly accurate, and it will give you perspective.

The dwarf thought "Doesn't really care about anything anymore" is the highest level of "detachment". I am getting this info about "detachment" from the DT source code, which has a resources/game_data.ini file, which shows these levels of detachment:
51/level_0 = "Has experienced some tragedy"
51/level_1 = "Is getting used to tragedy"
51/level_2 = "Is a hardened individual"
51/level_3 = "Doesn't really care about anything anymore"
"Detachment" is listed in that DT file under the "facets" group, even though it is not listed in the wiki's personality facets info, and that might help you access the value in DT.

So... if you want to use DT to find dwarfs that are currently good for corpse hauling, build your DT formula to use the dwarf's "detachment" level.

And, if you want to use DT to find dwarfs that will become good for corpse hauling, you want the dwarfs with skills and personality traits that reduce how much stress the dwarfs receive each time they see a dead body (discipline and stress_vulnerability, probably more...). Because these dwarfs will receive less stress each time they see a dead body, they are more likely to survive their stress level until their detachment level increases.

There is something to be said about, if the stakes are as high, maybe reconsider your certitudes. One has to be aggressively allistic to feel entitled to be able to trust. But it won't happen to me, my bit doesn't count etc etc... Just saying, after my recent experiences I couldn't trust the public if I wanted to. People got their risk assessment neurons rotten and replaced with game theory. Folks walk around like fat turkeys taunting the world to slaughter them.

....I just don't turn off corpse hauling. Never know who will be the lucky dorf who slept through the catastrophe.

I mean, !fun! is often pretty abrupt. If there's any survivors, they either have to live in a corpse ridden bloodspattered hellhole, or try to haul 70-odd dead dorfs and dead.... uh.... twisted humanoid forms.... out of their tavern. After that, whether they hauled or instead decided to meal in front of the corpses of their relatives and friends, they'll be appropriate candidates for the task in future.
