Dwarven mythology: Atlantis?
« on: January 04, 2007, 09:37:00 pm »

dang!! I just flooded the world again!!

I expanded my farm space over the summer, but I forgot to extend my drainage channel in the spring. And when did I last save? About 4 hours ago.

I wonder if Dwarves have a whole mythology built around floods and drowning?

    * Perhaps they worship/fear the God of Rivers (in the form of a menacing cave lobster)?
    * Are they superstitious about not looking into the well when they get a drink, or else it'll summon frogmen?
    * Do they sit around at night, spooking dwarf children with tales of haunted floodgates?

But the newly arrived dwarves could not resist the call of the floodgate...

Naw, they dont fear the water. If they did, they get away from the river when it floods, instead of ending up swimming in it.

But harmless wild animals like raccoons, they are scared of. Go figure.
