Watch it Braith, or we'll send you back to the orphanage.

Okay, okay, but if he'd only kiss me...

Braith is a minor character from the game Skyrim.

Specifically those previous two comments referenced (ad lib paraphrasing) the conclusion of Braith's quest in the game.

Do US american not use country and nation interchangeably, while referring to a state when talking about California for example?

Would that be the correct usage in this context, regardless? Especially considering TheSteppeWolf isn't American? (And others have made clear which definition they're using.)

Reading his name would trigger it. Thinking of him would trigger it. No other circumstances would trigger it- it was strictly related to the concept of Bill Clinton entering the conscious mind.

Man has not evolved one step beyond the primordial ooze that spawned him.

American ideals of unity probably took, "United States, One Nation" to mean that each territory (state) was occupied by the same people (nation) while in reality, the best thing about the US is its diversity among its people (various nations).

On the topic of Human Nature, psychological research frequently discovers more and more stuff coming from conditioning and less and less as "innate human desires". I'd reckon there's not much fundamentally human beyond that which is fundamentally animal - drive to live and propogate (and even these, not 100%).
