CHARACTER SHEET:

Name: Jeff of Dunham
Class: Puppet Master [PUPR]
Likes*: Puppets, Chocolate, Beast Juice Zubat Flavor
Dislikes*: Talking to others directly, Being the center of attention, Instant Noodle Soup
Backstory: Jeff was an orphan in the village of Dunham. And since his life clearly wasn't bad enough, he also became a social outcast within the group of orphans. While others played tag or threw rocks at each other, Jeff played with puppets. "Trash," others would call them, as each puppet was made from the twigs, mud, and other assorted bits that Jeff could find on the ground since he could not afford actual materials. The other children were disturbed by the different voices he would mimic for each puppet, and watched in unease as Jeff tried to put on shows to entertain them, shows they were required to attend as the orphanage's version of "entertainment". This led to Jeff being bullied and excluded, but he was never really disparaged. He had his puppets, after all, and he knew their value. It was the other children who were the fools.

As Jeff grew older, he began to withdraw from social interaction and focus solely on creating and perfecting his puppets, the perfect friends. While his expertise in puppetry might have been responsible for his abilities, they also led to the atrophy of his social skills and a deep social anxiety. He now only speaks through his puppet Cashew, a masterfully carved articulated wooden puppet stained with purple berry juice and covered in white fur he painstakingly collected from the ground for two years. Cashew also has a top hat, because "he is fancy" according to Jeff.

After realizing his abilities while re-enacting the bed time story of "The Warrrior and the Wizzard" and destroying part of his room, Jeff left the orphanage (though they would swear they tossed him out) to search for his destiny. He joined HoNK to show others the perfection and worth of his puppets.

I'm I allowed to play if I've never played a forum game before? The setting of this adventure really interests me, but I fear I'll need help and advice and just end up being a burden.

If you're open to a beginner, I'd love to fill out a "character sheet" for lack of a better phrase, according to the template provided in the OP post.
