Allow Seeing Line of Sight Outside of Stealth Mode
« on: July 16, 2020, 07:43:38 am »

It's kind of annoying that you have to be in sneak mode all the time to see line of sight of the others. Also while doing this nearby animals begin to consider me a threat besides of it being false. I literally only want to use it to find more easily people above me without constant "looking". There can be multiple creatures in a single tile. Multiple line of sights can indicate it without "looking around" on them.

Does anybody know how to become an elephant man in adventure mode? I literally did all advanced world settings possible to increase chances.

Sneaking makes nearby animals more aggressive? Are you sure that's actually a thing?

If entity has good cloaking and rolled successfully for encounter, sneak is successful. Nothing should be able to react to entity prior to the pounce.

But not every entity has equal observation numbers. So what that might mean, is that the cloaked entity has no way for determining if he really is cloaked unless he strikes, which is insanely tedious.

If target is a good actor, or bigger, it may not care.  If it is smaller, it will prolly always appear jitterbuggy.

If the prey is no a bumbling fat sow, but also capable of stealth, DF does not portray this. It is called crypsis, and things get very complex, very fast.

I dont play much in rogue mode, prefering fortress. I havent a solution. Other than using an area of effect move, on a massed up crowd like OP describes. Thats a desireable sitop.
