Allowing players to equip & strip creatures in cages.
« on: July 28, 2020, 04:17:14 am »

In the classic vein of instituting possibly unintentional game design and behaviour, stripping invaders captured in cages is a very handy feature-exploit of the dumping system, that cleans invaders of their precious clothing and items very conveniently before they're ultimately disposed of, having no futher purpose than goblinite.

But entirely as a miscallenous application to suit your needs, perhaps you want to equip them instead, having the UI to add to them in the cage, where dwarves come and equip them.

Choice select few mentions of targets to use this feature on.
  • Captured post-siege invaders - POW's be set up against other threats, the enemy of your enemy can be your friend.
  • Beserk Dwarves - To be redeployed onto the battlefield before they burn out from natural causes, a safe bet to recollect your items later.
  • Semi-Intelligents - Nothing quite as devious as equipping a wild cave ogre with armor & a weapon as a trap, loyal to nobody.
  • Target Practice - Wrapping your target up in as many layers of armor they will be immobolized by the weight and the pain.
And... Equipping your horse in armor?

Presumably once mounts are a thing in Fortress mode (besides for invaders), they won't be kept in cages. Hopefully...
