Feeding tamed animals in underground pasture
« on: May 24, 2020, 03:55:07 pm »

So if you build an underground training/pasture area, your trainers feed caged animals whatever they need (whether that is meet or plant) to make them tame and trainable.  But when you release them, they only have stuff like floor fungus and other cave plants to eat.  How do you ensure that carnivorous critters get fed?  Does just assigning them a trainer guarantee this?

There currently are only herbivores and non-herbivores groups, so while your dwarfs will feed animals to tame them, the non-herbivores will not need food after taming. You can even safely pasture the carnivores with the herbivores.

There is something to be said about, if the stakes are as high, maybe reconsider your certitudes. One has to be aggressively allistic to feel entitled to be able to trust. But it won't happen to me, my bit doesn't count etc etc... Just saying, after my recent experiences I couldn't trust the public if I wanted to. People got their risk assessment neurons rotten and replaced with game theory. Folks walk around like fat turkeys taunting the world to slaughter them.
