review guildhall petitions?
« on: May 21, 2020, 12:37:18 am »

if i've accepted a petition to build a guildhall, is there a way i can view the petition again, or see a list of guildhalls awaiting construction, or something like that?

i think it was the farmer's guild whose petition i accepted a few days ago, but it sure would be nice to confirm that  :-[

You can't for now.

What I do, I create the location immediatly after the petition, if I dont do that I forget.

I try to rename the location with a name that can be better remembered.

And after few months/years/death, if I see a location with only few dwarfs in or empty, I just delete the location.

In the menu where you assign a location to a guild you see a long list of possible guilds.
Most should read: no established guild.
The one you after: Established guild, no guildhall

Problem: sometimes dwarves establish guild and do not petition. You might end up with more guildhalls as needed, if you do not remember which one petitioned.

You are not the first with this problem, someone made a script that lists them. Search another post about this subject.

Only professions (or cults) with more than 10 members will petition for a guildhall.  So through the zones menu you can look at locations associated with it and figure out which ones you've already created.  But if you haven't yet, there will probably be only one profession with 10+ members, so if that's the case, that's the profession you build the guildhall for.

The same applies to temples.
