Building a ramp on a sandfloor
« on: April 18, 2020, 04:30:37 am »

With this embark i could not build underground a ramp on sand
Must there first be a solid underground ?
For sure the most peculiar fortress be made ..all building outside -drinks food , because could not make a entrance to subterranean to a tradingdepot ( sandfloor? )
Maybe it collaps ..at the start there was a event , but did give this not attention

For fun i try to survive as long i can
Miner is listening to poetry, but i need digging.

You cannot build a ramp in a tile where another construction or building already exists. That is the only requirement regarding the tile (there must also be a path from the building material to the ramp location).

There are three steps to building a ramp:
1) 'b' 'C' 'r', navigate cursor to tile and hit Enter
2) choose building material
3) wait for dwarf

If you made it to step 3 and nothing happened, then there may be no path to the building material.

There is something to be said about, if the stakes are as high, maybe reconsider your certitudes. One has to be aggressively allistic to feel entitled to be able to trust. But it won't happen to me, my bit doesn't count etc etc... Just saying, after my recent experiences I couldn't trust the public if I wanted to. People got their risk assessment neurons rotten and replaced with game theory. Folks walk around like fat turkeys taunting the world to slaughter them.

Thanks
I think it had something to do with no path
