Aggressive animal

I've gotten myself into a scenario where one of my buffaloes got stuck in a tree and started to starve. The tree was cut down, but the bull got semi-enraged by all the flying logs hitting him (without force). Nobody dares go near him (tasks interrupts), butchering him is also interrupted and I can't select him with my military squad for a kill.

How can I end him or his behavior?

Did you try to move the military squad near the buffalo? They might attack on sight, for the same reason civilians are interrupted.
