I find it confusing to decipher all those symbols in the default DF game and the other tilesets DF games.
Now, i don't know on the embark screen what all symbols are on the world map.

Therefore i suggest to add a draggable tabs feature  for the embark screen for different tilesets
   
A idea what i get from a person is to produce a default embarkscreen and later on a another tileset embarkscreen
Is it possible to generate two identical embark worlds with different tilesets in DF ?

So DF generated a default embark screen and translate this to tabs with other tilesets
Drag een tabbed page to another screen is very handy: in my case i do have a widescreen for two screens next to eachother

It's planned for the Steam release that maps and the rest of the game with have separate tiles.

Is the planned Steam version of DF continuesly updated with the Original DF ?
If not then could have (must?) the Original DF also separate tiles seems to me

On this way one could also add example constructions in another tile set then the original tileset what looks dull. ( at least for me )

Not sure, but I think he mentioned that the only additional features in the Steam version will be accessibility (sound, better graphics and music, maybe better UI, and so on).
