Can severed body parts become intelligent undead?
« on: March 10, 2020, 10:14:00 am »

Suppose a necromancer's enemy's hand gets cut off and the necromancer revives it. Does it become an ordinary zombie or an intelligent undead?
In practical, testable terms (assuming you have a necromancer save in Adventure Mode) does that hand attack the necromancer or the enemy?

I'm asking this because I'm wondering whether the zombie werebeast cloning technique can be used to produce non-hostile, fully functional clones of a fortress member in DF2020.

UPD: Nevermind, I just realized I could test this in arena mode.
As it turns out, only upper bodies can turn into intelligent undead.

But for some reason, werebeasts in the arena didn't seem to turn, so I have to put the question a little differently:

When a body part of a werebeast gets cut off and turned into an ordinary zombie, does it still regenerate into a full body every full moon?
And once it has done so, will killing the zombie allow you to reanimate its corpse as an intelligent undead?

Reading his name would trigger it. Thinking of him would trigger it. No other circumstances would trigger it- it was strictly related to the concept of Bill Clinton entering the conscious mind.
