I have the lazy newb pack and have the check for updates turned on but and i was wondering about how to update
 
My DF version is 47.03 and I would like to know how to update and have the newb pack working with 47.04 and up to other versions?
Does the LNP automatically include the DF version when it's available?

A pack is the game and a group of utilities that all work together. Some of the utilities have to be updated to work with the new DF. A pack can't update until the utilities have been updated to work with the new version of DF. This can take a few days at the very least. If you tried to just update DF the utilities would refuse to work or just crash and take DF with them.

You can install DF separately and copy over your saves and play without the utilities. You can also install graphics sets that don't require TWBT, and tilesets. The current soundsense and legends viewer/browser utilities will probably still work with the new version.
