A related thread, though its mostly on vampires. Was also mentioned in some really old thread, though it is not so ripe for revival.+1 I imagine some conditional subtokens being handy:
PROBABILITY:percentage - The chance of the syndrome being passed down, when all other conditions are met.
SAME_CASTE_ONLY - Only passes to children of the same caste. (
”Your daughter, and her daughter, and her daughter, until your bloodline runs dry, shall all turn into rabbits at full moon!”)
SPECIFIC_CASTE:caste_name - Basically as the above, but with no regard to the caste of patient zero. May be stacked.
NTH_OFFSPRING:number - Only passes to the nth offspring to fulfill all other condition. May be stacked. (
”The seventh son of a seventh son, will be a mighty sorcerer.”)
FIRSTBORN_ONLY - Shorthand for NTH_OFFSPRING:1.
SKIPS_GENERATIONS:number - The syndrome will be passed down, but will not show until n +1 generations down the line. I’m not sure how skipping would work with oher conditionals. (
”My grandmother was a dragon slayer, and so was her grandfather. This duty runs deep in our blood.”)
CURED_PASSES_DOWN - Even if the syndrome is cured/ends, offspring will be affected by the syndrome. (
”I drank the potion and my skin turned back from stone, but alas, when my child was born, she was soon a lifeless statue!”)
