How to altar

Probably missing something obvious but I've built an altar in the new update and I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it placed?

Can't be placed, recognised bug by Toady for forgetting about it.

He also mentioned it on the FotF though i can't remember where particularly in the paragraphs.
