Polar night, or the effects of latitude on day length
« on: January 07, 2020, 08:42:24 am »

I'm currently pretty far north (68°N) where the sun briefly rose today for the first time in weeks, playing as an adventurer in the southern glaciers, in Granite.

I realized that polar nights in the winter (and midnight sun in the summer, vice versa, when the sun doesn't set for weeks) would be terribly cool to include in the game. Playing in winter would present a jolly challenge with all the bogeymen hordes stalking you up to 24 hours per day  ;D

I agree ! Great Idea !
You should put it in Suggestion, though.

Not to mention that nocturnal animals and civilizations such as goblins would be largely awake and active for longer periods of time as this is when they're doing the majority of their activity in adventure mode anyway. Not that the demon lord gives them much opportunity to rest.
