Kirrah: "Excuse me, Ms. Enkutee? Is there any way to tell where it goes without opening the door? In the stories the miners are always tapping on the rocks an listening for echoes. Uh, I m-mean not like that, I'm s-sure real mining isn't as easy as the stories – oh, but what I'm trying to say is what if you began digging somewhere else and ended up meeting the same place from another direction? What if it goes all the way under our new home?

Look ya here below!

I will touch them up later as I've run out of steam working on this piece but will progress to the next update now!

I have... arm-beards.
I have arm-beards.

This is the best thing ever

But seriously everything about this latest spread fills me with delight. Might I ask what graphic software you're using?

I use GIMP and a Wacom tablet but still only quite new to digital drawing :)

What do you use?

At the moment? Online tool by the name of "Piskelapp". It's not amazing, but I'm short a tablet at the moment so pixel-work is easier for me.

Varg has beards that reminds me of Alak Zilirdural.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Apart from that, nice! I am trying to draw my newest comic digitally, still struggling with it.

You listen to all of the dwarves as they talk amongst themselves. Although Grey is outnumbered, he does have a point. What if the door is meant to keep something in rather than something out? Despite this, the general consensus from the others is that they want to get it open. Zultan withdraws his hatchet and Enkutee grips her pick in both hands as you step forward. Even Grey peers over your shoulder, reassuring Kirrah.

You light one of the mining torches and push against the door. It is heavy and thick, yet with the help of the others, it slides open slowly. You are caught in a sudden release of stagnant air, one that smells not too pleasant.

The doorway leads into a small tunnel, one that appears excavated with care. At the end of it, appears to be a small bend. Along with the other dwarves, you shuffle slowly towards it, stopping in your tracks when you hear a sort of scraping sound further ahead.

You take a deep breath and whisper quietly to the others.

"Whatever happens, we all rush up and get the element of surprise. Okay?" With soft mumbles of agreement, you slowly count down. "Three... Two... One... Now!"

You all rush up and turn the bend!

"Baa?"

(also this is my first time using gifs to animate but annoyingly I had to substitute quality to make it work? Does anyone know how to animate it without compressing the images? Cheers)

"Baahahahaa"

"See? I told you. Yep, you're all gonna die. Just don't scream too much while doing so, it scares the fish. hah."
Grey jokingly(?) asserts while trying his best not to burst into laughter.
He begins walking away, but doesn't get even ten steps before he lets out another laugh, yet it isn't a joyous laugh but rather one with a dark, grim undertone.

It's barely audible but you hear him say "Hmph. They're fools. Let 'em learn..." as he leaves the mine.

Before going back to fishing, Grey sets up several tripwires intended to make noise when triggered, made using his fishing line, in the fishing shack. "Should've done this a while ago. Camping in the wilds taught me this 'lil trick." he comments.

Allegedly he also now sleeps with his gutting knife under his pillow.
