Generate more history for played world

I have world with interesting civ. Clown as leader tame some creatures. But not all of this species is domesticated. So I want generate more years of this world for embark with creatures that I need. How do it?

Get worldgen parameters, such as by embarking, ESC, export 1 image, then killing DF.

Then paste these parameters at the end of your /data/init/world_gen.txt, and edit them to have more years. And maybe different name, but that isn't strictly necessary. Then generate world again, for longer this time.

But I fear they won't be domesticated with more history either if they aren't now.
