Have not heard from Koala for several years, the others were around last year.

The vast majority of players are much less conflict oriented than a few years ago.
Last game no major war!
Game previous Limey had the run of the field and intimidated everyone  :o

A lot of cooperative play, maybe too much. Fertile ground for some more aggressive types.

What was your game alias?

Glad to hear that Limey did well.  I seem to remember him struggling most games.  It must be a pretty good game if you have players stick with it after all these years.

Been playing. Its fun. You'll likely spend a fair chunk of the 1st game learning how things work but as long as you team up with someone who knows the game it seems fairly forgiving.

The episode "Novus Contractus Artis" has begun.

New game features:
  • Civil goods markets replaced by "Goods Contracts".
  • Support costs for ships reduced.
  • Convoy type fleet removed, replaced with Supply Base type.
  • New comm channel consolidates intel from foreign realms.
  • Imperial fleets no longer garrison guild stars.

The episode "Quis est lupus inter oves" has begun.

New game features:
  • Dossier of known intel for each opponent.
  • Imperial stars may now delay/search fleets.
  • Goods contracts for independent stars.
  • Dilemmas at more stars.
  • New agent operations :
    • Cause service worker strikes
    • Cause increase in piracy.

Looks like we will have another round soon. A test game for recent changes is going on now, largely an agent and component rework, but the Dev is planning on going for a full round soon it looks like.

It's a fun 4x strategy game. Turns are every 10 hours and games usually last for a few months. We had a full combat rework last year that feels pretty good.

   - Exploration has been expanded and is now more dangerous.
   - Ships may now be retrofitted to another design.
   - You may now change your victory path at any time.
   - New diplomatic options: subsidy transfer, supply and repair agreements.   
   - Agent operations now have more depth.

A new episode will start in a week or so.

If you have not played before and want to join in, sign up now and play the training game so you are up to speed when the real game starts.

New features in latest update :

  • Jumpgates may now only be destroyed by the star owner.
  • Jumpgates may be disabled by engineers and agents, an engineer is required to re-enable.
  • GUI changed to flat button style, 3D retro buttons still available in options.
  • Food system now fully implemented.
  • Managers may be assigned to mines.
  • Archaeologists may be assigned to monuments.
  • Recycler now cheaper to build, higher levels now convert higher percent of scrap.

I tried a test game of this a year or 2 ago. I had to stop because I knew if I kept playing I would have spent way too much time fiddling with everything and thinking about it and knew I didn't have time for that daily  :P

Seemed very cool though!
