Integrating Grimlocke and Meph packs
« on: August 03, 2019, 03:19:59 pm »

Hi, I'm trying to integrate Grimlocke's historic arms and armor mod into Meph graphic pack, which comes with some minor mods. No matter what I try, the Grimlocke raws and scripts wipe out all of the modded workshops from Meph (not selectable on build screen), along side dfhack errors. I know to change item.txts to name_zitem.txt so the graphics don't get wonked, but beyond that I'm stumped. Could someone help me, preferably with an explanation of how? I've been doing hours of science with this and I'd like to see how it actually should work. Thanks.

Are you overwriting the files or merging them? I don't know off hand where all the MEPH workshops are, but for example the entity file contains quite a bit of entries for them.

Your best bet is to go through each file, isolate the Grimelocke data and insert that into the MEPH files.

Thanks, I figured that would be the best way. I got most of it to work, some features are just beyond my ability. Took hours to get it all balanced.
