Blink Emplaced Enchantment
Based on our abortive Blink spell, the Blink Emplaced Enchantment is a version of that spell that is heavily optimized. By investing work on the functioning, though awful, spell, we've produced a version that is much easier to produce and cast, by linking two usually door-shaped objects together through enchantment, allowing for cheaper, longer-ranged, much more efficient and much better optimized Blink usage. We will utilize the enchanted nature of the spell to produce a useful version now, which can be reliably charged and used almost instantly by agents in the field, regardless of the time needed to produce the enchanted object. In addition, the use of the fixed nature of the Blink targets allows for even further increased optimization, in an aim to alter the exponential nature of the power cost to a much more achievable cost.

DNSIT2 'Necktap Mark 2'
Based on the original Necktap but...less awful, the Necktap Mark 2 moves the circuitry to a backpack assembly that can be concealed in a regular (though perhaps large, once all the expensive components have been swapped out) backpack with just a rather unobtrusive scarf or other item of clothing wrapped around the neck to conceal the rest of it. This entire redo project is aimed at fixing some of the faults of the original. The 3-D graphical interface is left out, but the expensive components are rebuilt to be, well, less expensive, the actual neck-tapping progress is altered to cut off some other sensory inputs while the hacking process is ongoing. Finally, a regular computer graphics setup is used to convey information to the agent over the neural link.

With these two major issues fixed, we should have a rather abstract hacking device that can be used by a reasonably competent agent to hack computer systems on the fly, though admittedly lacking a great graphical interface.

Blink, proposed Revision

Variable volume of space deletion can add complexity to calculations, but also reduces the amount of energy needed to cast a spell. Indeed, by making a blink small enough to throw a small explosive or bug through, we can utilize it at longer ranges at similar, if not reduced, cost.

Making more use of Blink could be cool, but I think that hacking is more widely useful.

Anybody have any opinions on how to make Necktap 2 better/easier?

MoteWire

A fusion of magic and technology, the MoteWire is a new direction for Thantro. Our experience with the necktap taught us how to interface and transmit complex binary signals, and our experience with blink tells us how to transmit matter between two locations. MoteWire is a small, enchanted wire fixture that goes on the end of a cable. Each fixture is paired with another, and when a signal enters one fixture, the signature of that signal is passed to the paired fixture. The paired fixture then generates a signal matching the signature. Each fixture needs sufficient power supply to generate the signal properly, but wireless signal transfer is valuable as is.

Also, don't forget to contact your local Eldritch Being(s), so that they can help with our mission to destroy the universe.

This way our boxes can bring in more boxes though box-stored doors!

We presently don't need more boxes, actually. We need to diversify so we can accomplish our goals in other ways.

For instance, last turn, we could've utilized a hacking system to send in one operative and have him cause the target in the kidnapping mission to get dragged off by airport security; we could have their computer report that he's got a warrant out, pose as a couple officers (again with the aid of hacking the computer systems to report our agents as a couple of transfers from another airport and have everything look perfectly legitimate) and drag him off. We could've been capable of defending the bank with our own hacker so the computer vulnerability would be nonexistent. We might've been able to backtrack the agent's message to determine if it was a trap or not, etc. And in the future, we could mount more direct cyberattacks against Mondragon installations, computer networks, and whatnot.

I personally want blink V2 so we can diversify our spatial movement, but I will back the Cyber front for this turn.
