Suggestions for an interesting embark
« on: May 10, 2019, 12:38:03 am »

In my latest embark, I stopped the wagon and usherd the dorfs out to find this terrain:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
(save at http://dffd.bay12games.com/file.php?id=14370)

The embark is over four biomes (savanna, badlands, grassland, mountain, if I remember correctly), and has a volcano and aquifers in two of the four biomes. (bottom left and top right).

Do you guys nave any interesting ideas on what I could do with this terrain?

i tend to make such "boulders" into towers.
the volcano could become tricky.

i didn't check the size, but i guessed it to be at least 4x4 - which can be okay...ish for my setup if there's no big body of water, but in most cases eats a lot of fps so i use 3x3 almost always.

I built my current computer 100% geared toward running dwarf fortress.

No regrets
