Go to a gas station, buy a five gallon gas can, and then fill it with gas.

John sits in his car with the radio on. That was rough, being asked all those questions by the cops: reminded him of the Doctors too much...

A voice interrupts his thoughts. "Hey bud, good job with the fuzz. It's time to move again. We need five gallons of gas."

"Oh, um, for... you mean in case we run out?"

"...Sure John. Exactly." Billy-bob chuckles drily.

"Heh, okay, better safe than sorry right?" John drives to the gas and SMOG station across the highway, buys a bright-red plastic container from a greasy mechanic with a lisp and bad breath, and considers whether it's too soon for a snack as he fills it and watches planes coming in over-head.

Now for the second step of the plan, we need to go to a store and buy 3 cases of canning jars, several cheap washcloths, and a zippo lighter.

Whoa, John must have fallen asleep for a little bit there. Watching the planes too much... John sits up in the driver's seat. The filled gas can sits outside his car, the nozzle still in it. A minute later he is back on the road, the spell forgotten. When, suddenly, a new voice pipes up.

Hi John.

Oh no. "I mean, hello. I don't want to do anything scary please."

Haha, don't worry friend, we're going to go buy some seeds and plant a garden!

"What. Like... weed? I don't want to get in trouble with my neighbours again..."

The voice laughs again. It seems to do that a lot, in his head. Not necessarily! Anything will do. I like flowers myself. Get some of those!

"I guess they are stocking new spring seeds at Farm & Home. Let's go!"

And, the gas can forgotten in the trunk, John buys several packets of seeds (ooh, native varieties, even better, haha!), and takes them home. He puts them on his counter, but then there's the cat to feed, and his email to check, and John figures he'll leave the planting till later, or maybe tomorrow...
