disarming caged goblins/elves
« on: March 08, 2019, 09:58:19 pm »

Hwey everyone. Can anyone tell me how to get armor and weapons off of goblins elves and such who get cage trapped? I put one of them into a restraint chain, and he still had all his gear which makes me very nervous, and a second captive starting fighting as soon as he got dragged out of the cage to be put on a chain, and still had his spear.

So, how do I take their weapons away before restraining them somewhere?

Using the mass designation commands; armor and weapons start forbidden, and must be claimed before marked for dumping. Use (d)-(b)-(c) to claim their gear, and (d)-(b)-(d) to mark it for dumping. Then remove the dump designation on the cage itself so your dwarves don't haul it off too!

By using the d menu. There is something at the end of the list called Item/building designagions i think. Once you Hit that a New list shows where You can choose to claim dump etc.
