The twenty five people who ended up finding the northerners would, naturally, firstly try and figure out how to communicate with the northerners seeing how they couldn't understand what was being said to them or vise versa. It was a bit odd for the twenty five to see the northerners who seemed so similar to themselves, yet so different, what with their strange ears and lack of any kind of visible tail. They did hear about the merchants that came before they were sent out but they presumed they looked like they did. Still, they would try and keep that thing to themselves, and try and show no unease. The groups leader was a fairly lean man of average hight named Cadwy, who was the one doing most of the attempts to figure out a method of communication. He'd start with pointing to an object, saying its name, and waiting for a response before moving on to actions and what they were called if they seemed to go along with this. Of course, this meant that particular words that are important would be missing, and they would probably understand each others speech brokenly at best, but it would be a start.
Needless to say, there was two things that might be noticeable to Lu as he watched the people in front of him, well, other than the wolvish ears and tail, and that would be the fact that every single one of them seemed to have a odd curvy bow, obviously they weren't drawn and were currently put away on their back. Other than this, all of them seemed to have clothing made of some sort of cloth. Some had a few furs, yes, but they all had some kind of clothing that wasn't from the skins or furs of an animal. Of course, this was just the first things one could note as oddities from a first glance other than the blatantly obvious.
Hopefully, communication would be able to be established in some way or another, and hopefully it would be improved as they talked...
