You, the Vaulters, have succeded in your goal. You are ready to return to Forenia, and show those Moskurgers and traitorous Arstotzkans the mistake they made. Although your Vault is constantly exceeding expectations, wear and tear are starting to show.

A choice
You have control of your rate of descend and location. You can rush, and land quicker, but be less accurate, or you can descend slowly and pick your location precisely. Or you can go for a mix of the two.

Mk1 orbital assault vessel
This craft is designed to be the pinnacle of our current air combat technology. A massive flying battleship, capable of decimating entire battlefields. Utilizing the tech used in the Bombay's of our bombers, it manufactures large numbers of bombs, ammo for it's cannons, and starshells. It's armaments consist of a retinue of small fireball turrets, in a dual fireball configuration where there are two fireball launchers that alternate, to maximize the rate of fire. For heavier targets it is armed with several bomb launch tubes that utilize our blastball spell to propel blast gems at high speeds, a number of cannons, starshell launchers, and it's main gun system, the decimation ball launcher. This weapon is in essence, a massively scaled up version of our fireball casting system, creating massive balls of fire capable of leveling entire armies. In short, this craft is a flying fortress packed to the brim with heavy weapons.

Year 1

It is time. We have been in the cosmos for 10 years now, and the Vault is aging. It is time to take back what was ours. Our engineers present us with two options: A rapid, yet less controlled landing, taking only 1 turn, or a controlled, gracefull descent, taking 3 turns. One will give us the element of surprise, the other precision landing spots. Our cartographers have prepared a map of the surface, and are working on the localization of mineral deposits.

Your cartographers have created this map from old war maps, and will update it as time goes on.

Mountains look interesting.  Easily defensible, yet surrounded by open ground well suited to our planned vehicle strategy.  Plus they sit on a major communication route and likely mineral rich.

The other choice would be land next to Arstotzka and reclaim our old capital.
