Starting Out as Different Entities
« on: October 07, 2018, 11:51:33 am »

As far as I know, there are two ways to change embark populations.
  • Some DFHack commands allow the player to change number of dwarves and the quality of dwarves
  • Editing raws can make other civs playable

However, what I'm asking about is neither of the two situations listed above. Instead, I think I read somewhere that it was possible to embark with animal people using DFHack without changing civilization entities.

Admittedly, the easiest way to do this is to change the entity raws and make it so there's either a civ of animal people, or what have you.

Unless you mean to say, embark with trolls and the like. Doing that simply requires editing the raws to add evil animals and the like, and when you bring them, they'll act like civ members, though they're animals for everything else.
