Assigning beds to locations other than taverns?
« on: September 08, 2018, 03:54:47 pm »

The game gives you the option. Does anyone know if it does anything? Do I need to designate bedrooms for my library to get scholars to petition me, for example?

As far as is known, only tavern allocation has any effect. I think someone said beds allocated to other locations are claimed like normal beds by citizens, but I'm not sure about that.

No. They petition anyway, while living in the tavern rooms. After they become citizens they will be thrown out of the tavern (and any other room, even if assigned manually), but you want your citizen to live in something better than motel probably, so that's OK. Non-tavern location rooms are treated as normal rooms by the game, so if you have forgotten to assign rooms to your citizens, they can claim these.
