Are FBs supposed to be chummy with reanimated critters?
« on: September 01, 2018, 12:52:35 pm »

The reason for my question is that I have a bit of reanimating biome on my embark, and I have an almost unkillable black bronze FB that seems to ignore the reanimate critters resulting from its rampaging, including at least one reanimated FB.

Inorganic beasts such as this are considered not living. Wiki.

This is because [OPPOSED_TO_LIFE] do not attack [NOT_LIVING] and vice versa (assuming they are initially neutral, if they are in conflict because of other reasons they behave according to the conflict level).

I made tests in 43.05 with [NOT_LIVING] critter (bronze colossus) and if my character was [NOT_LIVING] too, then the colossus attacked as normal. When my character was [OPPOSED_TO_LIFE], the colossus did not attack, and I could talk, or rather monologue with him. I suppose it hasn't changed in current version.
