Messenger help

My messengers refuse to actually go out and do things, they are just sitting there with "No job" despite being assigned to the mission, I know there's a bug where other jobs will cancel mission, but they aren't DOING any other job, and one has all other labors disabled, so what exactly am I missing to make them actually do things?

Never mind, apperently I just needed to wait 2 in game months with them doing no job before one decided to do something
