Can you implement goblin sieges that show up on cavern layers?

Also can you implement Blizzard style goblins sappers that can blow holes in walls?  How you decide which walls they take out might be interesting.  Maybe have them hit raised bridges as first priority, then constructed/smoothed walls, then finally natural stone under certain circumstances that I'm not sure on right now.

It would also be fun if the cavern goblins behaved a little bit more like humans where they sat back and waited, however while they were waiting more and more goblins would show up and they just tossed a few trolls/goblins/sappers at your back door from time to time as the force grew to try to open up a hole.  Therefore you would be incentivized to go wipe out this threat before they grew too big, otherwise the goblins grow to massive horde size and then charge (hopefully now with defenses weakened from the troll/sapper runs)

Both of these are planned features, sort of.

I believe Toady has stated that there are technical issues keeping him from having underground migrants and sieges, which might have to wait for him to rewrite how map features worked.  It's planned though.

Warcraft style sappers probably won't happen directly since Toady has said that he doesn't plan to ever include guns in DF, which implies but does not guarantee that there won't be black powder based explosives.  However, sieges who can tunnel to get into your fort to bypass walls and other static defenses are a planned feature, and if I'm remembering right it's even something he's considering for this release cycle.

DF goblins sappers could explode via demon fire magic rather than black powder.  But if tunneling is already a planned addition, that might serve the same purpose.

IIRC, besiegers are planned to choose their routes based on previous effectiveness. If a lot of goblins die in a particular hallway, they'll search for another hallway or dig their own. Not sure how that's going to play out with sapping drawbridges if the area beyond them acts as a choke point. They'd be better off sneaking in where you least expect them.
