The Troubleshooter stares at Scarback from a distance with an unblinking gaze. Yes. This one, with the list of enemies and the chip on her shoulder. She will make a fine pet indeed.

Abandon travels to The Husk's trading post, and attempts to sew chaos by seeking and emboldening would be traitors, murderers, thieves, and other troublemakers. Should this prove successful, Abandon will return to Scarback, and encourage her to attack the Trading Post while all hell is breaking loose.

Ark Hi pounded his fist into the ground, rage flooding his veins with raw strength. He had been pushed back by slug people. The shame of it! Bitterness clung to the back of his throat. The only redemption he could find would be in destruction.

He would destroy this hero.

Ark Hi challenges the hero to one on one combat. If the hero dies ,Ark Hi will accept the compounds surrender. If they don’t, he and his forces will storm the compound, killing everyone inside. (Possibly gaining Rage mana?) Ark Hi will have his herd attack from the other side, making them divide their defenses.

If the hero doesn’t accept, Ark Hi will siege the place, and have the captives build a ramp (Ark Hi will direct and help build the ramp as well). The Nagoth will stay watchful for a counter attack. Ark Hi accepts Ravena’s offer (Thanks!) and will wait to storm up the ramp till reinforcements get there.

(Oh man, this setback is going to mess with Ark Hi a bit!)
(Question, do we need to sacrifice a whole herd to get mana? Or is it one or several individuals?)

While his Herd are busy travelling to and participating in Ark Hi's siege, Ravana takes some time to pay a visit to the Mire.

Before deciding exactly what to do there, though, he makes a polite overture to Abandon. Herdkeeper, do you intend to press a claim on these "Wretches"? I should like to make use of them, if you are open to... sharing.

"My plan was to seduce their leader, convince her to abandon the tribe for life as my pet, and then eventually teach her herd to bow before you in exchange for some payment or another."

Abandon chuckles. "Their leader Scarback speaks of some sort of flesh market run by a creature called a husk. She hates the clan who runs the place. I was planning on paying the place a visit, sewing some chaos, and convincing Scarback to attack while they are weak. If you can think of a way to involve yourself in that plan that is worth both our whiles, you are more than welcome to participate, Tyrant."

Suddenly, the troubleshooters eyes light up. "Actually... Scarback does have another enemy. She speaks of a giant centipede that hunts her and her tribe. If you would hunt that creature down, and claim it as a meal or an underling, we would both benefit."

Then my instincts are still sound; I suspected you wished to take the leader from the herd, and stepping in to fill that gap was exactly my expectation. Our collaboration is productive as always. My intentions for them are no doubt obvious, so I won't bother going into detail. I will consider the other matters you speak of, as well.

Ravana comes to the Wretch tribe in his customary form, of a ten-headed ogre modelled after the likeness of the long-vanished original people. (Changing your appearance to suit the race you're speaking to sounds like the kind of bother that only people who don't emanate authority from their innermost essence should have to deal with.) He unilaterally declares himself to be Scarback's new second-in-command and martial advisor, offering to fight anyone who wishes to contest the declaration. If accepted, he immediately goes about issuing orders (in Scarback's name, of course) to have the Wretch tribe drill and generally get into fighting shape, while also teaching them rituals to venerate himself as a proper demon-god of war.

Abandon falls breifly into contemplation, and eventually nods. "I was anticipating your interest, Tyrant, but not the speed at which you would pursue it. I will need a place to keep Scarback before I can lure her away and hand you her tribe. Perhaps you should instruct that young demon you have taken on to put his fortification talents to use, and build a headquarters worthy of housing the three of us... Once we are all done beating the mortals up that is. I'd gladly contribute my illusions to decorate such a worthy keep for this little group we are forming."

Quite a reasonable suggestion. In the meantime, I intend to install myself into the tribe, and perhaps even aid you in doing so, for it may be easier to coax the leader away when her people are already in the hands of a trusted deputy...

It is moments like these, of course, when one must recall that, though strength and force have been his dominant attributes for a very long time, Ravana was born a spirit of usurpation and intrigue.

"Very well," The herdkeeper acknowledges, "I suppose its been too long since I've seen you play mortal. Just do be aware that I intend to send this tribe after the Husk's 'market' if I manage to sew chaos there. I don't doubt you'd be willing to march into battle if you are sticking with this tribe."

The Worm left the polyps behind, its blessing was laid on the pathetic wretches and now their growth or demise would be up to themselves. Taking its leave of them, after snatching another mawful of course, the Worm turned its attention to the Wretched hero. Their communication was necessarily brief as the Worm could not stand to be in the presence of such a morsel for long. The Wretch is left with only one command, to be followed as it will. Hunt a feast and be rewarded. Leaving the Hero to it's work, the Worm went on it's way though the swamp. If the polyps were to be useless, perhaps it needed to look into spreading it's blessing among a different flock. It would search for those pathetic and hungry enough to be worthy of it's grace.

The Worm searches for an appropriate Wretch camp to try to take over, the hungrier and more desperate, the better of course! If it finds one, it will appear to them, its squelching whisper telling them of it's blessing if they follow it, and it's churning maw making clear the consequences of failing to do so.

Not sure if I have any control over the Parasites actions, but if so of course it must hunt! Take down the mightiest of prey and feast upon it so that the Worm may know and grant it's blessings.
