Narrator: Our story begins in Port Daynaco, a closely linked series of islands in West Blue. Every year they hold a ship-race around the island chain, attracting comers of all sorts. Some come to race, hoping to win the Daynaco Cup for prestige or the modest gold reward. Others come to bet on the races. Still others are merchants, coming to either sell their goods to the spectators or to sponsor ships for advertising purposes. All kinds of people are welcome to the race, from pirate to marine, due to the large amount of wealth generated by this event. This also makes it safe harbor for those looking for repairs or men on the run, as all are welcome so long as they don't make trouble.

Two men had a fateful meeting that day. Gauvain and Buddy Ray Sheen.

Reposting "clip show" rules.

So we will do a "jump in" style clipshow. Whoever the captain is will start off deciding to start a pirate crew. After that short intro, we jump to the first meeting. It is "jump in" as whoever is on and available at the time describes the island they met on, with a brief back and forth meeting. It will be in the style of "anime recap episode", so in-character narration can be used to assist explanations. Everyone who has joined in at this point can post several "clips" from the arch, a brief scene either showing something emotional, cool, or bonding that lead to them joining. It is meant to be short, a quick description of how your characters shared a meal happily, how one character jumped in front of another to take an attack meant for them, a short description of everyone fighting a group of enemies, etc.

I hope I made that clear and not unnecessarily complicated

Bob: [Narrating] Bob met up with the group at Elipsland, a perfectly circular island where even the plants and animals grew in circular shapes. He was sitting in front of his circular house when they walked by.
Cap-tan: We immediately asked where we could get food.
Bob:[insert scene about how he was a fisherman, how they went to the perfectly circular lake to fish perfectly circular fish, having fun, Cap managed to tip the boat after a big hook and Bob has to save the devil fruit eater.]

The scene opens to a dimly-lit bar full of shady-looking people. A brief cut to the band playing an English folk song. The camera focuses on the bar's surface as a fist slams against it from off-screen, causing the glass on it to shake but not quite spill. The camera turns up to show Gauvain's furious face.

"They wouldn't let me race! 'She's not zee-worthy', they say. 'You'd be a danger to everyone around you', they say. Bullcrap! I zailed her right here from freakin' Flevance! Now how am I going to pay for repairs?"

Cut to the docks, wide shot. A seagull flies by. The Lost Cause is indeed need of repairs, with a few holes in her side and the crow's nest hanging by a thread from the mast, though her sails seem to be in excellent condition. From the distance, it can be seen that two people are standing on the dock in front of the schooner, though their features can't be seen. Focus to Gauvain, who addresses the other, off-screen person:

"So you want to get one step ahead of that fella chasing you? Sure, I can do that, but it'll cost you. See, I'm chasing someone as well. Tell me, what do you know of someone who calls himself the Green Knight? Killed my mate, he did."

The camera turns towards whoever Gauvain is talking to, revealing them to be...

... A rather sketchy looking man known as Buddy Ray Sheen. He chuckled and gave a grin, with the camera focused on his face, emphasizing his unusual eyes and his gold tooth.

"Man, I've been waiting for you to bring up the subject! Now, do you accept... Cash?"

Buddy Ray lifted up his briefcase, a gaudy looking thing emblazoned with a glittery '฿'. He held it out in front of himself as the camera refocused in front of the briefcase, then he dramatically opened it up to reveal that it was filled with neatly stacked bills, with some not so neatly stacked single ones falling out of the case to the ground below. The bills at the top of the case had a large denomination, but the ones below that were not immediately visible; but it was still a tidy sum. The camera would then show a shot of Gauvain's face before refocusing on both him and Buddy.

"A green knight you say? I can't say I know anything about the bloke, but I think I heard someone around here mention the name... Oh! That's right. I think I heard something about green men back at one of those stores around here. Hehe! The one that doesn't know the first thing about antiques if I recall!"

Cut to the waves rolling up against the shore, then onto the next scene in fairly busy street, where the duo happened upon...

...the Red Clovers, an infamous pirate crew known for giving no quarter to their prizes. Their crooked laughter and premature celebration could be heard even before Gauvain and Buddy Ray came around the corner to see them. The camera focuses on their captain, Fortuna Kicks, standing on a fence as she addresses the crowd her crew has raised (probably through coercion rather than genuine interest, based on how wide a berth they're giving them):

"Hear me, ya landlubbers! We Red Clovers are gunna win de Daynaco Cup, and we dun' care who we gots to kill to do so. Ya got dat?!"

For emphasis, Fortuna draws her pistol and fires it straight upwards. A seagull falls, dead. Fortuna would probably be more intimidating if she wasn't about four feet tall. Nevertheless, the crowd seems quite cowed, especially once her crew starts scowling at those who look even a little brave.

"Ha! I'm not scared!"

The camera turns to show Gauvain walking through the crowd, which is now stepping away from him as well.

"All you are is a bunch of bullies. You probably can't even tell a rudder from an oar! Feast your eyes, 'cause you're looking at a real zailor, not someone who has to wear a tall hat just so people don't step on her!"

Cut to a badly beat Gauvain on the ground, with Fortuna's boot on his chest and sword pointed at his throat as she smiles widely with pointed teeth.

"...You cheated."

"No, 's just my lucky day. Last words, luv?"

"You're a bi-"

Surprising both Fortuna and Gauvain, he is interrupted by...

... The scene switched over to Buddy Ray Sheen, letting the suspense build while Buddy had an internal monologue about having heard of this Fortuna kid, and about how he still needed Guavain alive for getting off of this island. He would then smirk while holding some monetary bills in his hand.

The scene would then switch back to Fortuna and Guavain, with a particularly noisy Buddy Ray Sheen holding a large handbell in his right hand bursting in on the scene, ringing the bell rhytmically. "Congratulations Fortuna of the Red Clovers! You're the lucky winner of the Bling Bling Lottery!" Buddy then pulled out and opened his briefcase to reveal the money inside. "Your prize consists of 5 million Berries, and that's not all! This month's grand prize also includes a custom made handgun called the Executioner! Holding this weapon is proof of the wielder's standing as a master Corsair, but don't take my word for it! Give it a try!" he said, as he pushed something that looked like a gun into Fortuna's hands.

Buddy's story was both falsified and rife with contradictions that one could easily see through if they took a moment to think about it, but Fortuna was accustomed enough to things going her way to not notice the red flag in time. She pointed the gun, pulled the trigger and a loud 'click' sound was produced. There was just enough time to utter a word of confusion such as "huh?" before the imitation gun revealed itself to be a smoke bomb! When the smoke cleared, the camera was focused on Fortuna, but Guavain was nowhere to be seen. Also, her hat was missing! Buddy laughed maniacally as he turned a corner in the distance, waving the big red hat behind him. Fortuna was understandably fuming at this point. "Aft' them!" she growled, as her crew started to give chase...

... Literally dragging Guavain along, the Scoundrel Buddy Ray Sheen runs through the busy street with the Red Clover goons in tow. He turns another corner leading to an alleyway, and building walls were to the left, right and straight ahead too. Buddy runs halfway through the alley, before turning aroun to face the mooks. With a sword raised, one of them shouts "Dead end! We got ye now!"! Buddy Ray points to them and responds with a big stupid grin on his face. "It is for you, but not for me!"

Spinning in a circle, Buddy Ray Sheen turns dramatically towards the building wall opposite the Red Clover goons, throws numerous Berry Notes into the air and shouts: "Bling Bling Purchasing!" there was a poof sound, and all of a sudden there was a wooden staircase that lead up the building. The Red Clover guys let out an assortment of shocked noises and comments as Buddy started to ascend the staircase, and shortly after they started to follow.

Buddy Ray Sheen ascends to the rooftop with Guavain in tow and once again turns back. "You're not much for listening are you? I said its the end of the line for you!" as he knelt down and put both of his hands on the staircase. "Bling Bling... Conversion!" he shouted, and the staircase started to turn back into money while the Red Clover's were still on it! The goons fell to the ground below, with at least one of them landing in a garbage container upon doing so.

Buddy chuckled and turned to Guavain. "Man, you sure are a crazy guy aren't ya?" Buddy would then walk to the opposite side of the roof, and then he saw...

...A tired looking woman with long bright lavender hair simply sitting on the edge of the roof, a few bottles of varying alcohols next to her and one bottle in her hand. She'd appear to be trying to get the last drop from the bottle and didn't even seem to notice the two behind them, or at the very least didn't pay attention to them. She'd toss the bottle off the roof and pick up one of the bottles closest to her before starting to drink it at a somewhat fast pace. Though her being there brought up an interesting question, how did she get up here in the first place?

The scene would quickly switch to a window that was overlooking the same roof, and from it one of the Red Clover's unimportant crew members would open it quickly before crawling out of it, falling over but quickly getting back to his feet. Somewhat amusingly, it appeared he had a bit of rotten fruit stuck to him that he was in too much of a rush to remove. Clearly he seemed angry, and a bit tired from all the running plus the drop into the can, but despite this, he'd shout out "Ya think ye can get rid of me that easy?!" This actually would catch the woman's attention, and oddly enough, the Red Clover mook would actually ignore Buddy and Guavain.

Letting out a sigh after glancing at the Red Clover crewmember, she'd simply stand and say, sounding a bit annoyed and tired "You said you would get me twenty bottles, I only took what you owe." Clearly, the Red Clover mook didn't like this one bit and would yell "I didn't say from me own hidden stash! I can't nick any more fer months or Fortuna will catch on!" Somewhat in the distance, coming from the alleyway that Buddy and Guavain just escaped from, another crewmember of the Red clover would say "Ye be stealing what!?" which naturally would make the other mook pause in surprise and would look a bit pale for a second before quickly turning to anger and shouting "This is all yer fault Sarah!" and charging...only to trip and fall onto all the alcohol bottles that were next to his target.

The fallen mook, looking up at a now quite unamused Sarah, would seem to quickly switch tune and give a nervous smile before saying "Err, we can still work this out, right?" only to be responded with a still tired, but now significantly much more angry "You ruined all that alcohol..." and a summary kick to face sending him right off the roof. He was likely to feel that in the morning. However, after this, the camera would pan to the other side of the roof where the Red Clover crew who had a staircase taken out from under them would have managed to climb to the roof! Well, some of them did anyway, at least one almost made it to the top only to fall right as he got there. "Ye will regret that, I'll make sure of it." the first one to climb up would say, making Sarah to look at Buddy and Guavain and ask "What did you two do to make them run after you?", when surprisingly and suddenly...

....A crack began to form. Fissure-like lines split the roof below our new heroes' feet in half. They swiftly spread to the rest of the rooftop like an egg breaking. Cut to Fortuna below, casually wedging her sword into a small crack in the building's wall. With a slight wiggle, the small blemish explodes upwards to what we saw above. With a real twist, the entire building collapses like a house of cards sending up clouds of dust. Her mooks cough as it begins to settle, looking into the wreckage and the surrounding rooftops for their recent targets.

"No sign of 'em!"

"Must have got buried alive."

"Serves 'em right. Nobody messes with the boss and lives!"

They then begin to laugh triumphantly. There is a shot of Fortuna stepping off one of her mooks, who she was using as a stool to reach the crack. As she does civilians begin rushing past, with general blather about how the race is about to start and how they had better hurry.

"Nick o' time like always. Les' go get me trophy boys."

The Red Clovers begin walking away from the wreckage. Back to their ship. Unbeknownst to them...
