Butchered Animal Spine
« on: March 16, 2018, 08:40:31 am »

Occasionally after butchering an animal, I find its spine (not classified as bone) in my refuse pile.

Is it useful for anything, or shall I simply dump it?

It is useless for crafting.

There is something to be said about, if the stakes are as high, maybe reconsider your certitudes. One has to be aggressively allistic to feel entitled to be able to trust. But it won't happen to me, my bit doesn't count etc etc... Just saying, after my recent experiences I couldn't trust the public if I wanted to. People got their risk assessment neurons rotten and replaced with game theory. Folks walk around like fat turkeys taunting the world to slaughter them.

Just so you know, this would be a spine as in pointy bit, like on a hedgehog or a pufferfish or something, not a spine as in spinal column/backbone.

You might also get feathers, nails, and tailbones as useless byproducts. The wiki page should have a list

That had not occurred to me, Lurker. Thanks.
"Pointy bit", maybe we should weaponize!
Again I see that, for fast & accurate DF answers, this forum is the place to be. Thank you all.
