if you are still in need of an antivirus that doesn't fuck with games I recommend avast, it keeps a list of games you have installed on your computer and does not mess with any of the game files (it does recognize DF and a bunch of other indie games as actual games and not a system threat)

I second Avast. I've been using it for a few years and never had any issues. It's picked up a few viruses and stopped them as well.

I recommend virustotal.com. Scan any new files with it before running them for the first time. Virustotal checks the files with more scanners than you'd ever want to have installed. And you can see which specific scanners flag the file and what they flag it for.

I use Norton, I told him that dwarf fortress is ok and never had any problem with it. And it saved my pc from thousands of malwares.
