Attack on Perplexfurnace

Perplexfurnace is under constant attack. The dwarves of Perplexfurnace can expect 2-3 sieges a year. 100s of goblins, beak dogs, and trolls have been destroyed at the gates.

While expanding our gate defenses we were attacked.

The normal way to path into the fortress was blocked by construction, so the goblins were forced to take the back entrance which is located at the top of our mountain. Perplexfurnace has no defenses this way so the brave dwarves took the fight to the invaders.

One of the dwarfs walked in front of Thor to get a better view of the prye, and Thor kicked him irritably into the middle of the flames, which made Thor feel slightly better and made all the dwarfs feel much worse.

Sounds neat, but Photobucket no longer allows linking without a premium account.  Imgur is the way to go these days.

Edit: Wow, those closeups are fantastic :o

Thanks, I updated my post using Imgur instead. I hadn't used photobucket in a while and those adds made me angry anyway. I have no idea why I hadn't started using Imgur already.

Finally, after a gruelling up ramp battle the dwarves of Perplexfurnace were victorious!

8 dwarves lay dead amongst the 257 dead goblin, troll, and beak dogs.

Unfortunately, our honored dead must rot in miasma. We must complete the contruction at the gate.
