Decka Strike: Popular virtual sport where two players control custom designed mechs with trading cards.

X6 Headset: The newest hardware from CODDE Corp. It has two modes:
Glass: you can still see the outside world layered with the VR one.
Full Immersion: usually reserved for in special arenas or when at home, the full visor comes down.
The device recognizes voice commands, and cards in hand. Usually the player will have a belt pouch to carry their deck.
Even though matches can happen around the world, ranked matches must be done in person.

Decka: A mech or the deck of cards that make it.

Battles will take place in a separate thread and be posted here by the GM. All other posts here are for roleplaying your player.

Feel free to plan a 'plot' with others in PM or OOC thread. The only rule is no throwing a fight, battles must be real, even if it would make sense for the story.

You can of course freestyle roleplay. You can make up anything you want about the world, but if it's obviously a very big thing you may wish to discuss it with me or others ooc.

You must accept a challenge from the person (directly) below you in the rankings, but it is up to the defender if they will accept a challenge from someone even lower. If the defender loses, they swap positions.

The exceptions are, you do not have to accept a rematch if neither of you have fought someone else since then.

It is also "polite" to allow the defender to challenge the person above them, if those two have not fought in a longer amount of time. (more battles with other people)

United Prefectures of Pacifica: Instead of there being a Japan or North America, there is a new continent in the Pacific and amalgamation nation between them. Other than this the world is like our own, and the date is roughly the same. It may be delayed or have time skips during and between plots.

Aegis City: Home of the CODDE Corp building and all the most passionate DS players.

Tabby's Diner: Popular hangout for DS players. 1950s aesthetic.

Grand Central Station: Train station and DS meeting place for out-of-towners.

Colosseum 12: Virtual arena we're dozens of fans log in to watch the live DS duels.

(Other battlefields, Desert, Forest, Tundra, ect): If a defender accepts a match from someone not high enough to officially challenge them, the defender gets to choose the virtual arena landscape, and if it will affect the rankings. May be called "Private Matches", however, others with a headset(even if older than X6) can put one on nearby and watch.

Luckey High: High school. Formal dark grey uniforms with blue tye and skirts. (girls can wear pants, boys can gender identify as girls)

CODDE Corp HQ: Bottom 2 floors are open to the public.
Floor 1: Lobby and Retail. Like a small mall for the company's products. Beautiful fountain and sculpture of an archangel raising a sword.
Floor 2: Immersion Stations. Like a hotel with hallways and rooms. Free to use for X6 owners.

Samurai Dojo: Passtime to train swords and archery. Peaceful zen garden appearance inside a wood fenced property. Central sparing dojo. (I roleplay the Master, Mizu)

Good evening fight fans! CODDE Corp has just announced a new contest for the popular Decka Strike game.
Yes the new fad which combines custom trading cards with a VR headset simulations that has taken the youth, and even some adults by storm, is ready to unveil the next product stage: a ranked ladder competition. We now go live to the announcement:

And to celebrate, those that purchased the X6 Headsets will have early access to the new Rankings Ladder. Please refer to the Academy manual, for details.

Good news for those that bought the X6 before today. Only the most passionate fans would have one, the lines they would have had to wait through, and limited supply guaranteed that.
