(Seriously, give me some time. This went by fast. I expected more experimentation. Not everything is ready yet! Feel free to throw around ideas for what's next, however.)

-1. I think we should wait until we know what we're doing. They're basically asking us to erase their body.

Besides, I think he wants us to overwrite his body with \x00, not append it to the end. :P Or was that your point?

body is a device file, same as mind, so you are writing to something, not writing to a file on disk.

Remember the results of file mind body?

Hmm. So what would writing /x00 do in this case, anyway?

Meta info: You just made body reboot. Hopefully that ends the confusion (Invalid data -> reboot)

Well, if this was an unknown UNIX device there would be no way (that I know of) to know what writing anything would do. You kinda need a manual for that... Maybe I should have tried man -k body?

Optic Sensors Active.
GOAL: Repair Jumpdrive.
FIND: Gearbox, Fuel Tank, Central Control Unit.

You are in the engine room. Ancient machines sit idle, previously never to run again. But now you are here.
The jump drive is MASSIVE compared to you, even being a 7 foot tall humanoid robot. The associated processor seems to be damaged. The fuel tank is empty. The gears for turbine 5 are smashed to bits.
There is a large hole in this room, likely from a meteor or comet that decided to pass directly through it.

Exits: North

Things here: Jump Drive(TM), Main Power Switch (Off), Fusion Generator (Inactive), Generator Switch (Off)

Sensor readings:
Temperature: -243C (Heating up)
Pressure: 0~ kPa
